At the intersection of music and theology lives the cornerstone of the Lutheran faith. And, Concordia University Irvine's newest building - the Borland-Manske Center - brings music and theology together to prepare the next generation of musicians and theologians. Opening in fall 2019, one wing of the Borland-Manske Center houses a library, classrooms, and faculty offices for Christ College and will serve students and the Church worldwide spiritually and musically for decades to come.
Our Lord Jesus commissioned His church to make disciples of all nations. From its founding, Concordia University’s Christ College has equipped students to carry out that Great Commission. Equipping students for full-time ministry in the Lutheran Church – Missouri Synod remains an important part of Christ College’s work.
Here you will study with students who are preparing for the same ministry you are pursuing, but also with those seeking other offices in the church. You will learn from and with future pastors, teachers, Directors of Christian Education, Directors of Parish Music, and deaconesses.
All of our theological faculty members are called ministers in the Lutheran Church – Missouri Synod. Every one of them has advanced academic degrees and has published in their field. Every one of them has practical experience in called ministry and they all are actively involved in ministry today. Christ College can equip you for such an exciting ministry.
