Join the Office of Orientation and First-Year Experience for FYExplore. We know that not everyone is coming to Concordia with a car, so we want to provide you with ways to get off campus. FYExplore offers monthly rides for students to get off campus to run errands. This service is free for students! FYExplore runs during the fall semester on select dates. See below for the Fall 2024 schedule.
Reserve your ride by emailing [email protected]. All rides require advance reservation and are on a first-come, first-served basis.
If you want to get off campus in between FYExplore dates, you can always rent out a bike through CU Active.

You can reserve your ride for a scheduled shuttle excursion by emailing [email protected]. Reservations must be made at least 48 hours in advance.
You can cancel your ride by emailing [email protected] at least 48 house prior to your departure time. Failure to cancel your reservation in a timely manner may result in a fine on your student account.
FYExplore shuttle drivers are certified drivers through the university. They may be a professional staff member or a hired student employee. All drivers are 21+ with an active driver's license. All divers have taken a van certification course through the university.
There is not a fee to use the shuttle. Riders may be issued a fine if they do not show up for their scheduled ride time or fail to cancel their ride on time.
Yes, you are allowed to have a car on campus. Students are charged a parking fee of $150/semester. Please register your vehicle through Campus Safety.
We find that most students utilize their friends with cars for rides to off-campus venues. You can also rent bikes through CU Active to ride to the UTC or on local trails. The OCBus System does run through Irvine. You can read more about that system here.
At this time, the FYExplore drivers will only drop off and pick up riders at locations on their scheduled route. If you have requests for future destinations, please email [email protected] and we will consider adding it to the rotation in the future.
