Transforming Lives & Leadership
Hear from students describing their experience at the Townsend Institute Symposium
On March 8, 2017, eight of the top minds in leadership and counseling held a symposium as the culminating event for a four-day, on-campus launch of inaugural classes with Institute founder John Townsend. The half-day symposium, open to the public, drew capacity crowds, where a live broadcast of the session was also made available.
Students and attendees came to hear the latest thoughts and research updates from the Institute Fellows, which included six bestselling authors, on topics ranging from attachment science in action to whether or not transforming American culture is possible.
The symposium was a signature event in the celebration of the launch of two master's degree programs in Organizational Leadership and Counseling, and three new online graduate certificate programs in Executive Coaching, Organizational Leadership, and Counseling. All degree and certificate programs have received accreditation from the Western Association of Schools and Colleges’ Senior College and University Commission (WSCUC).
