CONCORDIA UNIVERSITY IRVINE ANNOUNCES NEW LEADERSHIP FOR UNIVERSITY ADVANCEMENT

Eron Jacobson Joins University Administration with Years of Fundraising Experience

IRVINE, Calif. – January 29, 2014 – Concordia University Irvine announced the addition of Eron Jacobson as the new executive director of development, major and principal gifts. With more than 15 years in corporate and nonprofit development, Jacobson will identify and develop new opportunities for individuals, foundations and businesses to engage and support Concordia’s programs.

We look forward to the leadership that Eron will bring to our fundraising team. He comes to Concordia with a significant amount of experience in traditional fundraising and corporate relations that will help him strategically secure philanthropic support,” said Tim Jaeger, Executive Vice President for University Advancement. “He will provide new insight on developing platforms for local corporations to partner with the university.”

As a leader for the university advancement staff, Jacobson will oversee the Donor Visitation Team and coordinate the efforts to implement comprehensive plans for major gifts, campaign gifts and planned giving programs. He also will provide supervision and direction to the university’s development operation and develop relationships and solicitation strategies among major donors and prospects.

Prior to joining Concordia, Jacobson launched Sponsored Solutions, an organization that assisted nonprofits with fundraising platforms, corporate development and sponsorship programs. He served as a member for the Association of Fundraising Professionals. He previously served as director of corporate relations at University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA).  Jacobson graduated from Concordia with a bachelor’s degree in communications.
